Akos Hajnal

Akos, originally from Hungary, is the second of two siblings and holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Laboratory Science. With a deep love for exploration, diving, and trekking, Akos first arrived in Alor as a curious visitor—but quickly found himself falling in love with the place, its people, and its untamed beauty.

He began his diving journey in Alor as a divemaster trainee, quickly standing out for his adaptability, sharp mind, and calm nature. As he progressed through the course, his passion and natural teaching ability became apparent. This led him to pursue his PADI Instructor certification in Bali, and eventually return to Alor, where he is now a trusted and valued instructor at Nautika Dive Alor.

Akos is known for his humble demeanor, technical precision, and quiet humor. Whether underwater or on land, he brings clarity, warmth, and insight to every interaction. He strongly believes in preserving Alor’s authenticity and speaks passionately against destructive practices like fish bombing, advocating for marine protection and sustainable tourism.

Akos hopes Alor will continue to grow without losing its soul—staying true to its roots while protecting what makes it special.
